The responsibility of vocational education in India’s Bihar state lies with the Directorate of Employment & Training (DET) that comes under the Department of Labour Resources of the Bihar Government.
The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) work at the national level and state level, respectively, for conducting skill-based training programs across India’s different states.
There are 2 types of technical training centers in India; these include the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and the Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) that are run by government agencies and private ones, respectively.
Besides, the aspirants have a choice between trades that are grouped under the NCVT and SCVT category. As an aspirant, you are advised to apply for the courses based on the eligibility norms as they vary according to the respective programs.
With the broad objective of fulfilling the skilled manpower resources in the industries in India, the students are imparted vocational training.
After successfully completing the courses, the pupils can avail of jobs either at the national level or state level, depending on whether they have secured the National Level Trade Certificate (NLTC) or the State Level Trade certificate (SLTC). For the NCVT and SCVT trades, the NLTCs and SLTCs are awarded to the pupils, respectively.
