The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) will declare the AITT (CTS) Supplementary and Leftover Exam Result 2024 on the official portal, ncvtmis.gov.in, on 15 Sep 2024. The ITI graduates can then apply for jobs in the public and private sectors, depending on their expertise and skill set.
The AITT evaluates the skills of ITI students in over 100 trades. These include motor vehicle mechanic, welder, wireman, surveyor, stenographer, machinist, and computer operator – to name a few.

The Government of India, during the 1950s, introduced the Craftsmen Training Scheme, under which a series of government-managed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and privately-run Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) were set up across the varied Indian states. The objective was to develop a pool of skilled manpower resources for meeting the labour requirements of the country’s varied industries.
The ITIs and ITCs are deemed as post-secondary schools and are governed by the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Union Government of India. Presently, in India, there are more than 14,000 vocational training centres that include over 2000 ITIs and over 12000 ITCs.
The management affairs of the technical training centres are overseen by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) which works at the National level; at the state level, the SCVT works as per the NCVT’s guidelines.

The aspiring candidates who are interested in pursuing the trade courses have an array of engineering and non-engineering trades that they can apply for – as per their preferences. Moreover, the trades are divided into NCVT and SCVT categories. However, bear in mind that the eligibility norms of the different courses vary, so only apply if you are eligible.
As part of the vocational training courses, the pupils have to undergo 1-year Apprenticeship training for gaining practical experience, following which they are conferred with the National Apprenticeship Certificate.
Moreover, they have to appear for the All India Trade Test (AITT). Upon successfully clearing the AITT, they are awarded the National Trade Certificate (NTC) or the State Level Trade Certificate (SCVT), depending on whether they have completed the NCVT or SCVT trade programs.
